Preference: Photoshop Elements 2020 or PhotoDirector 365

Postby gabills » Wed Mar 04, 2020 3:12 pm

Looking for comments regarding preference: 'Photoshop Elements 2020' or CyberLink's PhotoDirector 365. I have both programs but would like to concentrate on just one. My video preference is CyberLink's PowerDirector simply because I've been using it for some time and am comfortable with it.

All comments welcome... thanks in advance!

Hi Bill,

My preference would be Photoshop Elements for the same reason you prefer PhotoDirector. There is a lot to be said for comfort level and having to relearn stuff .... ::C

I would go with Ps. I've used XaraX for years and totally comfortable with it; easy for me to use, However I'm Going with Ps and AI, technically more difficult but Adobe is the best in my opinion. Adobe can't be beat in the customer service dept, while others are very poor. That's my 2 cents. :)

I think that the choice is really subjective. Finding and using the program you feel most comfortable is the key. If you are intent on making the change then you should consider preparing yourself for the learning curve to come up to speed on the new program.

In my choice since Adobe products all integrate across their different programs, I find handy when editing. But you need to decide what is your comfort level.

Sidd you"re absolutely right-on. I'm more comfortable with XaraX since I've been doing it so long. However I believe more can be accomplished in Illustrator and Photoshop, so for me it's worth the more difficult learning curve, time learning and getting a good feel is the only negative in the process. Bottom line, I suppose, is that it really depends on personal needs and use requirements. The help on Magix has been sadly lacking, Adobe is great, and here at Muvipix the best! :-D
