Interesting perspective. I like the results of shooting in 4k so something to think about.

Re: 4k vs HD - A different perspective on 4K camerasI'm kind of relieved to finally not feel the need to rush out and upgrade.
HP Envy with 2.9/4.4 ghz i7-10700 and 16 gig of RAM running Windows 11 Pro
Re: 4k vs HD - A different perspective on 4K cameras
Upgrade? I am still using my tape based Sony HVR-A1E!! I will eventually upgrade when all of the tapes that I bulk bought have been used up. The only downside to still using that camera is the capture process from tape via firewire. Other than that minor drawback it continues to serve my needs. AMD Ryzen 3900x 12C/24T, ASUS x570 mobo, Arctic Liquid Freezer ll 280, Win11 64 bit, 64GB RAM, Radeon RX 570 graphics, Samsung 500GB NVMe 980 PRO (C:), Samsung 970 Evo SSD (D:), Dell U2717D Monitor, Synology DS412+ 8TB NAS, Adobe CS6.
Re: 4k vs HD - A different perspective on 4K camerasJohn I had the Sony Sony HDR-HC1 camera and loved it. It was my first HD camera. I stopped when I ran out of DV tapes and did not want to buy more since camcorders with SD cards were coming out.
