New Video Computer

I would like to know that when one needs to upgrade/replace their video Desktop, can you provide some specifics on what to get if using Pre 2019 or a more sophisticated video program.

I'd like to know if possible: Mfr, Model, RAM amount, Disk space, video card details obviously Win 10 Pro, and anything else pertinent for a good machine to last a while. And maybe the best place to get it. Thanks Walt

Well, with thousands of possible configurations available out there, it's really impossible to recommend a specific set of hardware.

But, if you want a good rule of thumb, use this chart and get a processor that rates at least 8000 and ideally over 10,000.

Then get 12-16 gigs of RAM and at least 1 maybe 2 TB of hard drive space. Premiere Elements doesn't use GPU power, so no need to spend a fortune on a massive graphics system.

Macs continue to be great machines. But Adobe seems to be building Premiere Elements for Windows 10 and then modifying it for Mac OS. And Apple seems intent on sabotaging everything Adobe designs. So I'd stick with Windows 10 Pro.
