2 year old photography lesson

Postby momoffduty » Fri Oct 05, 2018 3:16 pm

I've been trying to get the grands interested in video and photography. I took the 2yo on a short photo walk, but had to quit because she said it was too hot outside. I let the kids use the point and shoot action camera, Fujifilm XP120. She took 5 photos and here are two of them.

I didn't catch it until my husband was looking at the photos on the back of the camera. Must be a genetic thing. :fg: Next lesson is to keep her finger off of the lens.

Too funny Obi Wan :hyst: I have made many videos of the grands and I was wondering when they will stop enjoying. The kids were over the other day and the 2 oldest were watching their school, birthday and vacation videos on the tablet. The oldest was filling in the memories for the 5yo of the video when she was 2yo.

For this year's back to school video interview I made a little set. The clapper board was a big hit.

We had the 2yo over the weekend and when I was taking her photo she lifted up her toy phone to take mine. She then asked if I wanted to see and showed me the back of the toy. Imagination!

That makes it well worth the trouble, doesn't it Cheryl?

That's so great! It won't be that long before she'll be taking pictures for real.

Thanks! Looks like I did get my answer from them about videos. I wonder when that magic age will happen when they say No to photos/video. I think I may have job security for about another 10 years? I was teaching the 5yo photography, but darn the kids are so busy these days with school, church, girl scouts and gymnastics. Then there are the cheer camps and swimming lessons. The only time I get on their schedule is when I babysit or drive them somewhere.

Does GoPro make an active kid mount? :whew: It would be difficult but making a day in the life time lapse to show the constant movement...
