Help with Safe Site Program

Postby Little Nac » Fri Dec 02, 2016 7:56 pm

Hi Guys.
A couple of years ago, I obtained a small free program which I am sure was from this site, but now since having formatted my drive a couple of times I can't find it. So I am hoping someone can help. What it is, is a small program (free) which you install and it tells you the safe Internet sites, by putting a symbol next to the links. If it is a "bad" site it puts a red symbol. I have searched the Internet but to no avail. Can't even think of the name. Would appreciate any help. Thank you. L.N. :pull:

Note that most anti-virus programs have that feature also. Even the free ones.

Thanks Guys. Cheryl, WOT is the one I was thinking about, and that is the one I used to use, now I remember. But I have been on their site, but can not see anywhere to download the Program. Have searched everywhere even YouTube. Any suggestions? Thanks again. L.N. :conf:

Hi LN,

I couldn't find the download at Wot either, but I found it on CNET. Several years ago I did post about this program. Saves on clicking on dubious sites.

Hi Cheryl. Thanks once again. My Wife has installed it and it is working on Firefox but she can't get it to work on Chrome. I have just bought us two new phones so have been busy setting them up. I should be able to get onto it this afternoon. Anyway, thanks again. Cheers, L.N. :YY:
