Lots of versatility there. (I had no idea those shots had names! :oops:) Looks like a larger version of the stabilizers we've seen for the GoPro.

I met a photographer on a birding expedition who had a large gimbal for his DSLR. Much larger than this one, rectangular, with handles for field monitor, mics, etc., so large he had a stand for it in the back of his truck. It looked like it would easily get heavy and it didn't offer as much flexibility as this smaller type, but it got such stable shots it was nothing short of amazing.
Whatever you do, don't set your coffee cup adjacent to your turps cup. :CS:

The stabilizers work really well. And now that they make them for DSLR's you can get some really smooth footage. I recently upgraded to a 3 axis gimbal (I was using a 2 axis gimbal) and I really like the results a whole lot. The stabilizer takes care of about 95% of the bumps and shake to make the video so smooth. I have started using this gimbal on every shot except for tripod shots.
