EaseUS Todo Free Backup

Postby Peru » Mon Dec 02, 2013 2:12 pm

There have been many discussions here about backup and cloning software.

I have used and recommended Acronis and Paragon, but having recently put another computer in service and not wanting to buy another license, I decided to try EaseUS Todo Backup (the free edition).

I was very impressed with it it for several reasons, but these were the major ones:

1) You can clone not only from a smaller drive to a larger drive, but also from a larger drive to a smaller drive. That can't be done with either Acronis or Paragon.
2) It clones in about half the time of Acronis or Paragon.

I would suggest giving it a try next time you need to clone or create a backup.

I also used EaseUS Todo to clone a drive once. It was very simple and fast.

I used it a couple of weeks ago to clone an IDE large drive to an SSD smaller drive. It not only did it, it also makes sure the SSD is set up correctly to work with Windows.

I just purchased the workstation full version because I liked the free version so much. I clone my primary drives at least every 3 months and do daily incremental backups. It has worked flawlessly for me. I was a huge Acronis fan for a long time, but EaseUS has provided an excellent product that I have been very happy with for about 3 years now :)
