I think it says more about the ability of individuals to emulate the style of what the studios can produce.

Pretty clever and gets the point across. Isn't it cheaper to make a reality show than a series? What happened to the movie of the week or mini-series?

Those were the days!

Nielsen called me a while back wanting to know what current TV shows we watch.

Ha!

Do you remember "The Winds of War". That was a wonderful mini series.

No, we haven't seen that one, but looking it up just now, perhaps that should be remedied. I have found several copies available at Ebay, none at Amazon. I cannot tell if it has subtitles. If I can find out for certain that it does, I'll order it.

I've recently purchased series 1 - 4 of Inspector Lewis, a PBS production. They are great. There are some copies of season 5 available and I think I'll order it soon.

We were half way through The Far Pavilions when the Tour de France began. Need to get back to the 2nd half. So far, I must admit I liked the book(s) volume 1 and 2, better. Sounds as if the book, Winds of War is a goodie too. I do like to both read and watch when the stories are good ones.
