AMD Steady Video

Postby RJ Johnston » Wed Mar 06, 2013 3:48 pm

One day our graphics card will take all the fun out of editing video. Then again, maybe not. But this new computer with AMD graphics does do hardware video stabilizing on-the-fly. I forgot that I had turned it on, and while I was editing video, I got confused when my unstabilized video all of a sudden started playing back smoothly in the preview window. I have to turn that feature off otherwise I won't know what my video really looks like. The steadiness you get with this isn't up to the level of software stabilizers like Mercalli, but they are getting there.
