Which Video Card

Postby IRISH4U » Mon Dec 24, 2012 3:01 pm

Hi Guys
I just purchased a second hp xw8200 and I'm in the process of upgrading it. I'm going to be using a 50" 1080p lcd tv as a monitor. Question is, which of these two video cards would be better for Video editing in PE11, and please limit the discussion to these two cards because based on my research, I'm limited to what I can put in wattage wise (150w max, pci exp. slot plus add'l connection to the MOBO). Here are the two cards with links to their specifications. Nvidia Quadro FX1700 512MB Dual View DVI VGA PCI-E Video Card http://h18000.www1.hp.com/products/quickspecs/12820_ca/12820_ca.PDF you have to scroll down for the specs, I can hook this up with a DVI to HDMI cable. The second card is the GeForce GT 440 (Fermi) 512MB 128-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814134138&Tpk=Geforce%20GT440%2c%20512MB, you have to scroll down for the specs. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
