Bluetooth keyboards on different devices

Postby Jayell » Tue Sep 18, 2012 1:02 pm

May I assume it's logical that a bluetooth keyboard that works on an iPad would NOT work on the NEW Kindle Fire? I thought the bluetoothness would make them all work OK. I've got a friend that has two Apple keyboards that do NOT work on the NEW Kindle Fire.

And what I mean by 'not work' is that the kkkeeeyyysss aallllllll rrreeppeeeaatt and can't be stopped even with different pressure, angles, etc. Is there a simple explanation? :conf:

Nevermind.
Amazon seemed to think it should work correctly. They're sending out a new Fire.

It may not be a problem with the keyboard or the Kindle. Is there a Repeat Rate (Typematic Rate...) like there is in Windows for the keyboard on the Kindle? This allows for the different rates that touch typists have. Just a thought....

Will have her check that out. The replacement device seems to have the same issue .. so this m-a-y- run a little deeper.
