Robert Gordon passed away last week. He was a local guy where I live, but was successful in NYC, first in punk rock then made his fame in the rockabilly revival back at the end of my university days. He was great in concert. This video is his cover of Marshal Crenshaw's biggest song, which charted on the top 40. Danny Gatton played guitar on this, he's on the right. Sad to see him go.

Nothing like a Broken Peach - The Night Of The Halloween mini concert to get ready for Halloween...

RIP Jerry Lee Lewis.

If you are a Jerry Lee fan and haven't heard it, search for Live at the Star Club in Hamburg 1964. Backing group was the Nashville Teens.

Happy Friday!

I'm desperate to bring back that 80's fashion! Remember that show 'Live on Fridays'?

This was a surprise. Another part of my high school soundtrack gone.

For sure, Ed. This was one of those "Oh my gosh, she DIED?" moments for me. Then it was "She's HOW old?" A shame.

Piano Guys are outstanding. This is one of my favorite versions recorded by them.

The video of the song was filmed at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Jerusalem set in Goshen, Utah.

As long as I'm in the Christmas spirit........

I have no music to add - potential thread hijack but with the best intentions as the music is relevant - Merry Christmas to all. :-D

Happy Friday! A great cover of a great song. The line 'Something has to make you run' sticks with me.

This was a shock. Jeff knew his way around a guitar as well as anyone ever did. In addition to having a number of his albums I also have the disc of his appearance at Ronnie Scott’s. What a great performance in an intimate setting. He’s left an incredible legacy. Rest In Peace.

Robbie Bachman, the drummer for Bachman–Turner Overdrive who powered the band’s biggest hits including “You Ain’t Seen Nothing Yet” and “Takin’ Care of Business,” has died. He was 69.
