The book "I'm A Believer" by Mickey Dolenz is pretty good, especially if you liked the Monkees.

Not the greatest band that ever was, but a lot of fun and some good earwig tunes. I listened to my share of the Monkees. Here’s Micky’s statement:

I’m heartbroken.
I’ve lost a dear friend and partner.
I’m so grateful that we could spend the last couple of months together doing what we loved best – singing, laughing, and doing shtick.
I’ll miss it all so much. Especially the shtick.
Rest in peace, Nez.

All my love,

Micky

Meatloaf was a genuine icon and Bat out of Hell was a great album. In a career spanning six decades, Meat Loaf sold more than 100 million albums, Not too shabby. Per TMZ he was anti vax and looks like he died of Covid . RIP Mikey.

"Bat out of Hell" came out between my senior year in high school and first year in university. It was all over the radio. I wasn't a huge fan, but was impressed when I saw his stage show on TV, probably the Midnight Special.

Another sad day in Rock and Roll. Don Wilson, co-founder and rhythm guitarist of the instrumental guitar band The Ventures, has died.He was 88.

For context.... In the 1960s and early 1970s, 38 of the band’s albums charted in the United States.

The Ventures had 14 singles in the Billboard Hot 100. With over 100 million records sold, the Ventures are the best-selling instrumental band of all time.

They were on my bucket list to see Sidd, and I was front row at a medium size music venue for their show about 8-10 years ago. Great show, but a little short in length.

Little bit late for a Friday, But this is pretty cool.

Legendary multi-instrumentalist, John Paul Jones, is accompanied by Stephen Perkins of Jane's Addiction, Susan Tedeschi, Derek Trucks and over 20 musicians and dancers from seven different countries, in this Song Around The World version featured in Peace Through Music: A Global Event for the Environment.
