Some interviews with the kids would be good. For the ones that are not quite verbal, what about some video shot from their perspective. This would give a feel of what the kids see every day through their eyes.

Very cute idea! When my youngest would go away to camp each year, I would send her letters. There was always one written from the dog and she got a big laugh at that. So, thinking now that I have video....when she leaves for college, will send her small video files from the dog.
