Re: Organizing Media In Project Assets

Surprised to have not received any responses on this. Am I the only one who uses this workflow? I use that workflow, but with Premiere Pro. I haven't used Premiere Elements in ages. But, it certainly did work in Premiere Elements back then and it doesn't make sense to me that you couldn't now. Of c...

Re: Dark mode in PE and trimming the clips before inserting

You are very welcome!

And, yes, you understand correctly. The Project File contains a list of the necessary file segments, a "map" to where to get them, and information as to how they are assembled.

Re: Dark mode in PE and trimming the clips before inserting

I suppose this was not a question deserving an answer. That is absolutely not the case. I apologize for not responding sooner, somehow I missed your question until you posted again. I understood that you were talking about physically segmenting a larger file into one or more smaller files. My point...

Re: Dark mode in PE and trimming the clips before inserting

When you import the clip It is my understanding that the program makes a copy of the clip for editing and the original is not altered. Sorry Sidd, but PE does not make a copy of the clip for editing. Premiere Elements is a Non-Linear Editor and uses pointers to define the in and out points of the p...

Re: Quality Issue On 4K Streamed Vimeo Video

I know that my monitor is 4K and my download speed is far above what should be necessary for maximum quality. Going back to the start of this topic, you were talking about the blocky playback using the Vimeo app on your 1080 Amazon Fire TV Cube. You also said the playback on the 4K monitor was fine...

Re: Quality Issue On 4K Streamed Vimeo Video

I've read the page several times and I'm not 100% sure what it's saying. That page is talking about the resolutions that your uploaded video may be converted to depending on the viewing device and network capabilities. The listed resolutions and specs are what Vimeo may convert it to, not the sourc...

Re: 'Immersive Van Gogh' exhibit in Chicago

Sidd,

It is touring. I saw that the show is going to open in San Francisco March 18 to Sept. 6 near you and in Los Angeles May 27 near me.

Looks interesting.

Re: It's the Journey - Atari 2600

That site doesn't look like it's very active. I always wanted to build one of those Heathkit TVs, but couldn't afford it at the time. By the time I could afford it, Heathkit was gone. I did build other Heathkits though including an Oscilloscope and a TV alignment signal generator and other test equi...

Re: Work Area Bar

That's too bad. I didn't expect Adobe to do that. If I were still using Premiere Elements I would have checked that. Sorry!

Re: Work Area Bar

Hello Bob, A long time ago, I posted a work around to reset the work area bar which involved editing the project file. This was for Premiere Elements version 7, but it's possible that Adobe is still using the same conventions for storing the settings for this in the project file. It wouldn't hurt to...

Re: DJI Blacklisted

China has surveillance satellites, they don't need drone data for mapping. And, GPS satellites are unidirectional not bidirectional. Any data transmitted would most likely be through Internet access. The concern is that sensitive locations could be targeted. That's government, critical infrastructur...

Re: video upscale

It's going to be a long time before 8k takes over from 4k. You can buy 8K TV sets in the premium category right now. I think it's going to be about 2 or 3 more years before the cost of 8K gets down to where middle tier 4K sets are today. Eventually, just like all larger sized sets sold today are 4K,...
