Re: First Pilotfly H1+ Tests

Ron the footage looked really good. I personally think that the brushless gimbal is the way to go. I am betting that it is also a lot lighter on the arm too. Does your stabilizer have the ability to add an extension pole? I have found that to be a pretty good way to get those boom shots and low shot...

Re: We have a hummer!

Mom one of my friends found a place that they rent the lenses out. So when they are planning a weekend trip to shoot pictures they just rent the lens for the weekend. Not sure if they have something like that where you live but that my be a way to meet the need without spending so much.

Re: Brushless Gimbal Test

Francesco, GoPro does not have any image stabilization at all.

They do make Brushless Gimbals for DSLR's but they are quite a bit more expensive. ($600-$800 USD) I have not researched any brands.

But then how will the drone-birds of the sky not have something to perch on?

Solar Sunflowers

From James Cameron of Titanic fame comes this pretty cool idea to help make solar power more aesthetic. Composed of one central panel surrounded by 14 smaller "petals," each Sun Flower is designed to provide an alternative to traditional solar panels that, while functional, strike many peo...

Re: image sizing vs. resampling

Image Resizing: Changing the size the image will print without changing the number of pixels in the image.

Sounds like resizing is the best way to keep the maximum resolution of the photo.

Re: Turn you iPhone into a DSLR...maybe

I think for me I would be more interested in attaching an optical lens to achieve my desired effect. The iPhone 6 has a pretty decent camera already so I would have a hard time purchasing an additional $599 attachment.

Re: e-Book

One of the format's is PDF but I want to make sure what I get
will read various other formats.

You can always get a PDF reader app so that you can read that type of book if needed.

Re: We have a hummer!

Crunch time with the wedding and I may end up in a destination with a padded room

Mom I am sure everyone is in good hands with you at the helm. If they give you any static they could wind up on the cutting room floor.

Re: Turn you iPhone into a DSLR...maybe

he didn't further his credibility by the way he made his presentation Agreed. The guy seems to have a bunch of videos so I am not sure if this is just his shtick to get attention. While the concept seems pretty cool, the iPhone is just a glorified monitor. If I was going the smartphone rout for pic...

Turn you iPhone into a DSLR...maybe

An interesting iPhone add on a 3.8 oz (108 g) and 2.65” (6.9 cm) tall, the DxO ONE has a f/1.8, 32mm equivalent aspherical lens with a variable six blade iris and a 1-inch, 20.2 MP CMOS BSI sensor. DxO One connects to an iPad or iPhone via Lightning connector. Once hooked up, the Apple device’s disp...

Re: Adobe Creative Cloud

I do not disagree with you Bob I just do not think I would be using $50 a month worth of software. Since I capture mostly video the Lightroom and Photoshop suites would be cost prohibitive.

Re: Brushless Gimbal Test

Amazing what can be achieved in a back yard

You would be amazed at what a little hard work and a good shovel can do. Not using the shovel mind you......ducking as my wife tries to hit me with the shovel.... :ha:
