Re: Steal the Color Grading from Any Image with Photoshop!

A good way to dissect a photo Sidd. Photoshop still amazes me of the things you can do and some of the lesser known things like the video you shared.

Re: Worst Snow Storm here in 25 years

Wow that is a lot of snow!!! Great job on the video. :TU: We have had more snow events than the usual and lots of rain. The backyard is a swamp. Yesterday sunny 60s with gale force winds. It was hard to open the storm door into the wind.

Stay safe Tree Tops!

Re: Steal the Color Grading from Any Image with Photoshop!

Thanks for posting this Sidd. I learned a few moves in PS. In ACR there is a split toning tab that I think would adjust the highlights and shadows. In the Nik Collection I like the cross-processing filter which I think would give you the same effect. But, still very cool on the tut how to precisely ...

Re: Ephemeral Video

With the smart phones recording video it is no longer something of value. The attention spans have gotten shorter too. I'll keep making my 3 minute edited vignettes for the grands. Hopefully they will see the value later or at least remember me and the fun we had making little "moobies". W...

Re: The Short Film Thread

This short film is about a young girl obsessed with speaking Shakespeare. "It takes a full on Shakespearean quote-off to cure a young girl of her verbal addiction to verse."

Re: How they shot the long open

The Player is one very long opener! We've watched the series in the last 2 weeks. I found myself watching the camera movement instead of the dialogue. One opener was on a train that swept backwards down the aisle and thru the train rear window. Witty writing all around and at times it felt like a pl...

How they shot the long open

The opener was just over 1 minute and moved thru 2 scenes. Interesting how they filmed this continuous shot.

Re: GoPro is moving production out of China due to high tari

If they move to another country with no or low tariff and other companies follow suit then the new countries could have tariff war eventually. Sounds like whac-a-mole tariff game.

Re: How Peter Jackson Colorized WW1 film

Thanks Gerry for the break down. I was impressed too how they had the uniforms and other artifacts in the editing room for reference.
