Re: They said it would happen – and it did!!

Oh wow, Sherrin! Ouch is right! I'm feeling bad just reading about it. I'm so glad it wasn't more serious than it was. Here's wishing you a complete and speedy recovery.

Re: Sidd Finch

I'm deeply saddened to hear of Sidd's passing. I have been fortunate to have Sidd as a friend. I last heard from Sidd last Saturday (Dec 30th) when he wrote to wish me a Happy New Year and expressed optimism that 2024 would be a stable and safe year for both of us. One of the things that brought us ...

Re: Fruits and Veg

Got a chance to do some testing on the insta360 x3 lens covers. Are those the Insta360 sticky lens covers? I bought a pack when I got my X3, but I never used them because I read about the flare and stitching errors. I also bought the soft neoprene lens cap and I use that and the soft case that came...

Re: Chili Peppers

A couple of years ago, I was given two green jalapeno or chili peppers (I don't remember which variety) from the same plant. I know they were from the same plant, as I watched them being picked. One was very hot, and the other was actually sweet! That's not unusual. Individual peppers on the same p...

Re: Chili Peppers

...you don't eat the seeds it is a bit less spicy. The seeds have very little, if any, heat in them. The heat is mainly in the pith, where the seeds are located, and the ribs. Some of the pith sticks to and coats the seeds and that may be where this idea started. Removing the pith and ribs will low...

Re: Easy to use Smartphone wireless mic

I wonder if you could just use it to make an audio file to use separately. It should be fine. It's essentially an external wireless lavalier microphone and should work with any phone app that uses the phone's microphone. [ Post made via Mobile Device ] http://muvipix.com/phpBB3/images/mobile.png

Re: Looking thru a Prism

Sidd, it's always a treat to see what ideas you come up with. Lots of fun. Anoushka Shankar and her father Ravi Shankar both performed at the Concert for George. Fyi, Anoushka and Norah Jones are half-sisters (same dad, different moms). I had the pleasure of meeting Ravi Shankar in the early 1960's....

Re: Welcome to the new Premiere Rush forum

The starter plan is free. It does require an Adobe ID. If you don't have one already, you can create an account and ID for free. The starter plan only allows three exports on the desktop version, but unlimited exports on mobile. The premium version is included the the all apps creative cloud subscri...

Re: Music Video Fridays, Music Memories and Obituaries!!!

What kind of venue/music do you play in? I have a strong classical and jazz background. Besides school orchestra, I learned Sousaphone to be in the marching band and Tuba for concert band. I was the recipient of the John Philip Sousa Award. In college, I was in the Marching Band and the Symphonic B...

Re: Music Video Fridays, Music Memories and Obituaries!!!

Yes, that is a cello. Even the smallest upright bass is larger than that. Haven't seen one used that way before either. Works though. In string ensembles, the cello serves the role of the bass instrument. FYI, an upright bass is also called a double bass because in early orchestras, the bass would &...

Re: TIPS to FAST SHORT CUTS B-roll Sequence and Edit

I'm seriously considering buying this camera. I've been wanting something small and unobtrusive for short sequences and b-roll. I own the Insta360 One X and the flowstate stabilization is excellent. If the Go 2 implementation is as good I'll be very happy. It is most definitely not a GoPro replaceme...

Re: Southern Pacific #1215

Have you shared the video with the history museum?

Music licensing gets pretty complicated. Sidd would need to research the licensing/royalty issues first. I think this music is not in the public domain and still requires a license to use. I don't know for sure though.

Re: 360 Effects On A Giant Selfie Stick

Thanks, Sidd. I don't think I need a 3 meter selfie stick, but that reminded me how much fun my Insta360 is to use. It's been in a drawer the past year because of the pandemic. I need to get it out and start using it again. [ Post made via Mobile Device ] http://muvipix.com/phpBB3/images/mobile.png

Re: Jacaranda

Jacarandas are very plentiful in Southern California where I'm located. I like them a lot. They are very beautiful, but there's a dark side: those dropping flowers are a real mess. They can form a thick slippery mat conducive to falls and they seem to attract bees which increases the chance of young...
