Re: Gear Best Slider

That makes it even better. It looks to be designed for small cameras and smartphones which is right in my wheelhouse. I also like that you can purchase additional track for the thing. From the videos I have seen I especially like how it is used in time lapses.

Gear Best Slider

I have been trying to incorporate some slider camera views in my video work but I am just too "Mr Fumbles" when it comes to smooth slides. Then I came across this and it looks pretty intriguing.

Has it really come to this.... Vertical Video

Is it even possible to fathom an advocate of vertical video... I am biting my tongue even as I write this (and darnit it hurts.....my tongue  ) For a long time, vertical video meant the recorder was either lazy or uninformed. It was seen as evidence that someone didn’t know the most basic rule...

Re: DJI releases the tiny 4K Osmo Pocket camera

It would be interesting to hear your thoughts about the camera once you have used it for a while. Your note about hand cramp makes sense as this stuff gets smaller and smaller and you have to figur out a way to hold it.

Re: Discrete Graphics Card on Laptop

I would put all the video files on the external drive and edit on the drive on the computer. Not sure if you can swap graphics cards on a laptop.

Re: Discrete Graphics Card on Laptop

Are you doing everything off of 1 drive. Files and edit from the same drive? Premiere recommends that you have a dedicated drive for files and a second drive for editing. Also a one hour timeline is a rather bog drive and really strains the system.

Re: Rode Video Micro

I agree Steve. So far the mic sounds really good and quite a marked improvement over the camera mics.

The biggest drawback is the the mic mounts to the gimbal handle so when you put the gimbal in a horizontal position the mic faces the ground.

Rode Video Micro

http://img.youtube.com/vi/5diAJdFN3BE/mqdefault.jpg I have been frustrated lately when using my GoPro with a handheld brushless gimbal. The camera picks up so much motor noise that the audio is un-useable. I recently picked up a Rode VideoMicro microphone and really like the sound coming in. The Vi...

Re: Multi Cam Workflow question

I agree on the sequences too it is easier to manage. I would do all my color correction first before editing so you are happy with the footage. When I use multi cam editing which I do quite a bit of I first sync up all the audio. I do this by stacking the clips on top of each other. I do not worry a...
