I won't be doing that until I test this at least a couple dozen times without issues.

Re: Dronelink - Finally

My biggest question is, that it might take away from that tactile feel of actually piloting the drone. Nah, it doesn't really take that away as I can still fly manually when that need or want arises.. or just for fun (I get some pretty neat overhead-selfie shots out by the pool :) ), it's just nice...

Dronelink - Finally

This is what I was waiting for since purchasing DJI's Mavic Air 2 -- Waypoint Missions. Actually, it's tons more than Waypoint Missions (beyond comprehension, I assure you!), but DJI has finally released the SDK (Software Development Kit) and Dronelink has added the MA2 to the list of [Beta] support...

Re: 2021 Drone Regulations

Basically, "Remote ID" is a transmission protocol that the FAA can, if feasible, monitor a drone's flight to see if it complies with the FAA rules and regulations (which definitely has gray areas!). The DJI Mavic lines >250 grams already have Remote ID transmissions built in - ironically D...

Re: Sunrise in Ogunquit, Maine

Thanks, everyone! That was actually recorded back in the middle of November. I got a lot of nice shots that morning. There's something truly mesmerizing watching the surf from above. It's a nice, newfound hobby, unfortunately, the weather (as well as my work schedule) lately hasn't been conducive fo...

Re: Flying around the neighborhood

Very cool perspective, Steve!

It's quite addictive, isn't it? I'll be posting more soon.. we have wind warnings in the near future. Even though I can safely fly with winds up to about 30 mph, I like to wait until the winds are below 20 mph.

Took The Plunge...

... and purchased a drone. I first bought the Mavic Mini and was so impressed, I sold it and upgraded to the Mavic Air 2. Needless to say I'm hooked. Here's one of the first flights I made flying around my town with the MA2. A little straight flying, FPV mode and a pinch of time-lapse. https://www.y...
