So far I haven't heard of anyone making a Blu ray coaster. After the fiasco of DVD media burning reliability (something worth a gigantic class action lawsuit, IMHO) and the current cost of BD media, I don't think the industry wants another black eye. Wow Ken, that is a good price - in UK terms about UK£1.25 or so.

Last ones I bought here were >UK5 each.

Be careful of that site Ken, they are pretty new and there are no reviews for them anywhere yet.
They are selling at less than 1/2 price, that leads me to be very cautious.

Oh, really! My wife and I have run into some unscrupulous Internet vendors lately and we are a bit perturbed. Here is my experience with RIMA.COM --

I placed an order for 2 packs of 50 Taiyo Yuden Watershield DVD-R 4.7GB 16X Glossy White Inkjet - Hub Printable on 11/27/2009 for $29.99 each. The total was $66.46 which included $6.48 shipping. They arrived 12/5/2009 and, although I haven't used any yet the packaging on the two cake boxes look like the real thing to me. This outfit is new to me - I only found them a few months ago - but I find no reason to be suspicious of them as a vendor.

Afterthought: I have noticed the last few months when I use Google Shopping that there are vendors included in the mix that have low ball prices and little or no vendor ratings. Seems good to be cautious with those.

Not sure if I should post this question here, but since the subject was discussed at some lenght on this thread...

1) Because in PE7 I can't burn to folder with a blue ray project, wouldn't I accomplish the same objective by just exporting a Mpeg 2
1920 x1080 file ( no menu's ) then using that file in my dvd authoring program to create a BD disc? An advantage to that being I could then use that same file along with other like files created thruout the year to compile onto a single BD with a menu at the end of the year?
Many of my projects are videos of float/fishing trips that I would like to compile onto one disc at the end of the year with a menu to mark chapters marking each trip.

2) On my individual projects I have been taking the finished disc and saving a disc image ( .ixb file extension ) using MovieFactor 7 Pro for possible future copies. Would there be any advantage to instead take my exported Mpeg 2 and burn a disc image (.iso extension ) instead? I'm not sure the differences between burning a disc image as .ixb or .iso?

As I stated earlier in the thread, once I know from the SD Folder that the creation is flawless, I burn a HD MPEG2 1920x1080i 30 for future use, either to play back directly from my HDD on my HDTV or to assemble with other MPEG2 files to burn a Blu-ray DVD, usually with menus.

BTW, those versions of Windows 7 that include Media Center software will allow you to browse to your HDD and play back those HD MPEG2 files on your HDTV with your machine's remote control. This is a VERY cool feature.

Just to add another pea to the soup here...I burned a BD-RW from PE7, tried to create a disc image from that using MovieFactory 7 Pro that I could then use to create additional copies on BD-R, no go, the program said I had to use the same disc type. I then went to download image burn and mistakenly downloaded Express Burn, which had no problem doing what I needed. It was a free program like Image Burn but I suspect Image Burn is more versatile since I see it's so popular here at Muvi-Pix.

I went back to image burn where I got express burn from but it was gone, apparently the ad was pulled as it was right along side the image burn. Here is another location for it. http://www.nch.com.au/burn/index.html Once opened, I went to 'burner' at the top left of the tool bar, once there you can select either 'burn iso image to disc' or 'burn iso image from disc'.

It wasn't pulled, it's a Google Ad and may change depending on what the ad server is dishing up.

And, of course, ImgBurn also has the capability write an iso file to disc or create an image file from disc.

Thanks for the clarification Bob. Your earlier post on this thread regarding creating a BD-RW and then creating a image file to burn to
BD-R was the reason I went to the ImgBurn homepage. The Express Burn ad looked like an intergral part of the Imgburn ad so I thought they may have changed the name slightly for the latest version. Should have looked a little closer! I have both now so it will be interesting
to compare.
