Page turningHey experts out there... I need some help. I'm working on a film that requires a page turning at the beginning. However, we want it to be animated, not with an actual person turning the pages. Is there a simple or easier way to accomplish this animation? Thanks guys!
Re: Page turningWelcome Julian to Muvipix!
If you want the page to turn without a bend then keyframe the Y rotation. Make sure your anchor point is on the spine of the page for a good pivot point. See screen shot. If you want there to be a bend to the page when it turns: To animate a page turn first create your page as a psd file with a transparent background. Be sure that there is plenty of transparency around the page because the CC Page turn will use the size of your file. If the image is only the page then it will be cut off in 3D space. There needs to be transparency around the image to accommodate the page turning. You can not just make the pages comp bigger, it would still get cut off. Arrange your layers in 3D space with the anchor points lining up. (I usually make one psd file with all of the pages and line up in in PS and bring in as layers. You may still have to adjust a pixel or two.) With the CC Page turn there will be a bend in the page after it turns and you will have to keyframe the position point slightly to line up with the other pages. See screen shot. It gets a little complicated with front pages and back pages. Hope this helps. You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post. aka Cheryl

Re: Page turningHi Julian, Welcome to Muvipix
The easiest way to do this is to split your clip and put the page turn or page peel transition between the cover and the inside page. You can try it and see if it works for you. You can also do this fairly easily in ProShow, that is another option. And be sure to watch the tutorial as it will be helpful if you want to start creating more advanced effects for your movies http://muvipix.com/products.php?searchp ... =0&btn.y=0 We currently have a 30 day trail for only $20, you get access to the entire site including tutorials 1.
