Specific to Premiere Elements Version 9.

Hello - I am having a problem.
I have made many dvds and used the menu templates numerous times but am having an issue now.
I am trying to load a template for a new project I've made but the templates, none of them, will "apply". I've tried dragging the template into the preview menu and using the "apply" button but nothing happens. I've tried creating a new project but menu templates will not apply in any project.
Any ideas as to what could be wrong? I've updated everything I can think of....PE9 itself, video drivers, etc.
Thanks for any help.

Try going to the top menu; Edit / Preferences / Media Empty the Media Cache Database by clicking the Clean button. See if that helps. Next, try creating a new project and see if you can add a template to that. Let us know the results of the above

Thanks Chuck. I tried both of your suggestions and neither worked.
Any other ideas? I don't know why it would have stopped working. I might have to uninstall and re-install the whole application...yuck!

What are your system specs, rv? What operating system are you using?
How fast is your processor and how much RAM do you have? Have much free, clean, freshly defragmented space is on your C or main hard drive?
Also, have you gone to the Help menu and selected Check for Updates to ensure you have the version 9 patch?

Thanks Steve.
Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit, Intel Core i7, 3.2 GHZ, 9GB RAM.
543GB of 921 available on hard drive...haven't checked for defragmenting in a while.
I did check PE9 updates to make sure I had the most recent update.
I've never had a problem like this before.
Thanks for your help.
Go CATS!!

Sounds like you've got a mystery bug, rv. So we may or may not be able to help you.
Try launching the program while holding down the Ctrl+Alt+Shift keys on the left side of your keyboard.
If that doesn't work, I'm not sure what's up.
Does it happen with just this project or, if you start a new project, do you have the same problem?

Already suggested cleaning the cache and trying a new project Steve... rvrkids wrote:Thanks Chuck. I tried both of your suggestions and neither worked.
