Re: RENDERING IN VERSION 9A ten fold increase in file size doesn't sound right. Can you give us an overview of your workflow?
AMD Ryzen 3900x 12C/24T, ASUS x570 mobo, Arctic Liquid Freezer ll 280, Win11 64 bit, 64GB RAM, Radeon RX 570 graphics, Samsung 500GB NVMe 980 PRO (C:), Samsung 970 Evo SSD (D:), Dell U2717D Monitor, Synology DS412+ 8TB NAS, Adobe CS6.
Re: RENDERING IN VERSION 9UPDATE, I JUST DID A 30 MIN PROJECT TO AN AVI COMPRESSED, AND IT CREATED A 8 GB AVI FILE. NEXT I DID 1 HOUR PROJECT TO
AN AVI COMPRESSED, AND IT DID A 14 GB AVI FILE. SO THE ISSUE IS COMPRESSED AND UNCOMPRESSED FILES. SO IF I AM DOING A "BURN DISC WORKAROUND", DO I DO COMPRESSED OR UNCOMPRESSED AVI FILE AS PART OF THIS PROCESS LISTED IN STEVE'S BOOK?
Re: RENDERING IN VERSION 9I WAS DOING UNCOMPRESSED AVI FILE BEFORE
Re: RENDERING IN VERSION 9NEVER used uncompressed video. It's unwieldy and unnecessary. And it doesn't improve the quality of the product.
Use the DV codec for your AVIs. HP Envy with 2.9/4.4 ghz i7-10700 and 16 gig of RAM running Windows 11 Pro
Re: RENDERING IN VERSION 9Regarding the shutting down of system processes. If you type "how to start WIndows with a clean boot" into Google it will take you to a Microsoft site that will step you through the (very simple) process. I tried it on my laptop and cut down the number of running processes from 60 to 29. It cleared up most of the issues I was having with Prel 9 running out of system memory or shutting down unexplainedly. The process has you uncheck 3 boxes in the config menu and restart the pc. Once you are done editing all you need do is go back to the config menu, select 'normal start' and reboot and your pc returns to normal.
Hope this helps Ian King
