Large Files Related to VideoI'm hoping someone can tell me if I need to keep certain files on my computer related to video that I've transferred. After I've transferred video to the computer, I end up with really large VOB files. They're given in a folder created that the computer names Video_TS. They aren't the videos themselves, but are they related to them in an important way? Are they necessary to keep if I intend to keep the video itself?

Re: Large Files Related to VideoThe VIDEO_TS files are the DVD image. You can use a program like ImgBurn to create the physical DVD from the VIDEO_TS folder.

Re: Large Files Related to VideoThanks for your response. I've made a DVD out of it already, but I like to keep the avi file of the video that I made. I didn't know if I needed also to keep the files that I mentioned. When I click on them, they don't do anything.

Re: Large Files Related to VideoAs John says, the Video_TS folder and its contents is the dvd. The video is contained in the VOB files. But, dvd VOB files aren't really designed for individual playback or re-editing. If you don't need to burn additional dvds, you can delete the folder. You can keep the project and files that created the dvd if you anticipate re-editing. And, of course, you can export and keep an avi (or other standard video file format) of the completed video if desired.
