Re: Huge royalty-free music collections on sale at Digital JuiceJack,
Can you offer a little background on their "Layered Tracks," and exactly how they are used, please. Does one also need additional software for processing? Are these loops? I see their collection of about 50 discs, but could not find exactly what they are. Appreciated, Hunt
Re: Huge royalty-free music collections on sale at Digital JuiceThese are not layered tracks, they are complete compositions. The value is that there are so many, and they are pretty good. Most of them have loopable :15, :30, and :60 second versions, as well as full-length versions.

Whoa, Jack! I've been paying, with another vendor, $99 for a single CD containing roughly 12 full-length tracks plus perhaps 40 loops. For the offer you mention, each 5-DVD set normally goes for $399, according to the ad. Muvipix members please note: The ad states that there are only 100 sets of each in stock. When I placed my order just now, I was informed that both sets are already on back order. After listening to some of the tracks, I can understand why the initial 100 of each were quickly sold out. Re: Huge royalty-free music collections on sale at Digital JuiceI picked them up last summer on a close-out sale for $199 each, and it was worth it at that price. Apparently they found (or printed) some more sets and that's where this current sale came from. They were supposed to have been discontinued a while ago, so if you got a back-order I can only hope they have a set to fill your order.
These sets have been tremendously useful to me for weddings, slideshow/montages, corporate videos and even TV commercials. You don't have the flexibility of layered tracks, but you save a ton of time by having such a variety of tracks ready to use as-is. You lost me there, Jack. Please enlighten me when you have time. Thanks! HP h8-1360t Win7 Home Premium 64-bit/Intel i7-3770@3.40GHz/8GB RAM/NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050/LG BH10LS30 Blu-ray RW+SD DVD/CD RW+LightScribe/52" Samsung LCD HDTV (ancient 1080p)/PRE & PSE & ORGANIZER 2018/CS 5.1 & 5.5 (rare use)
Re: Huge royalty-free music collections on sale at Digital JuiceSome royalty-free music is layered, meaning each instrument is on a separate layer, like in a PSD file. You can adjust or delete each individual instrument to customize the track. This, of course, can get very time-consuming if you're a perfectionist looking for just the right mix. The music tracks in the BackTraxx collections are more like a JPEG, where what you hear is what you get. They don't offer the flexibility of being layered, but since they are good enough to use as-is, it saves me a lot of time. I just screen a few until I find one that's close to what I had in mind, and drop it onto the timeline. After all, I'm a videographer, not a composer.

Jack, I received the two sets of DVDs (5 DVDs per set) a while ago, and I finally found the time to try them out. (This took some time, as the instructions are not accurate.) I just played back a track called "Heavy Nightmare" from the "Suspense" folder, and I am VERY impressed with the quality. All the tracks are in high-quality WAV format, which is the only format I use for my slide shows and videos, so I am very pleased. Thanks again for the "heads up" on this collection.
