Re: Thought BubblesWhile you are waiting for a PSP user to help you out Mike,
Here is a thread on how to do it in Premiere Elements, it might help. viewtopic.php?p=14873#p14873 1. Thinkpad W530 Laptop, Core i7-3820QM Processor 8M Cache 3.70 GHz, 16 GB DDR3, NVIDIA Quadro K1000M 2GB Memory.
2. Cybertron PC - Liquid Cooled AMD FX6300, 6 cores, 3.50ghz - 32GB DDR3 - MSI GeForce GTX 960 Gaming 4G, 4GB Video Ram, 1024 Cuda Cores.
Re: Thought Bubbles
Thanks Chuck. I have been doing a tutorial using Elements/Premiere Elements, Lightroom/CS3, and am now trying the slideshow part in Proshow just to see the pros and cons of all. I can pretty much do all the editing and organizational things using Lightroom/CS3 that I can do in Elements, although Elements seems simpler sometimes. The slide show editor in Elements is fairly straightforward as well. I want to see what PSP provides compared to E/PE. I figure if I do a couple of tutorials in all of them I will be able to see which ones I want to use. The link was helpful to show how to get art out of elements as a psd. Nice. Thanks Mike
Re: Thought BubblesMIkeV,
As someone who has toyed with the idea of getting and using PSG or PSP, I would love to hear your review of the products when you are completed. Bob D Gateway DX4860 i5-2300 2.80GHz; 6GB Ram; Windows 7 Home 64-bit; 1.5 TB C-Drive, 150G F-Drive(video)
Re: Thought BubblesHi Bob,
I looked at ProShow, Memories on TV and Pictures to Exe. I decided on Pictures to Exe. You can download a trial version here http://www.wnsoft.com/apr/index.html and this link is to the manual http://www.wnsoft.com/apr/PicturesToExe ... ual_en.pdf also here are some sample slideshows http://www.beckhamdigital.co.uk/freestu ... idesw3.htm AMD Ryzen 3900x 12C/24T, ASUS x570 mobo, Arctic Liquid Freezer ll 280, Win11 64 bit, 64GB RAM, Radeon RX 570 graphics, Samsung 500GB NVMe 980 PRO (C:), Samsung 970 Evo SSD (D:), Dell U2717D Monitor, Synology DS412+ 8TB NAS, Adobe CS6.
Re: Thought BubblesJohn,
I would be curious to know why you picked that software. Mike
Re: Thought BubblesHi Mike.
A few reasons really. I toyed with the trial versions of ProShow Gold, Memories on TV and Pictures to Exe (P2E). I found P2E much more intuitive than the other two (definitely a plus point for me ) the manual is plainly written and I was impressed by the quality of the shows that others had produced. Basically, for me, I felt that I was able to get up to speed faster with P2E. Also I was influenced by this:-
AMD Ryzen 3900x 12C/24T, ASUS x570 mobo, Arctic Liquid Freezer ll 280, Win11 64 bit, 64GB RAM, Radeon RX 570 graphics, Samsung 500GB NVMe 980 PRO (C:), Samsung 970 Evo SSD (D:), Dell U2717D Monitor, Synology DS412+ 8TB NAS, Adobe CS6.
Re: Thought BubblesIt's alway good to see different products. As most will say in this forum, different tools for different projects, or parts of projects! After you complete one of yours with P2E please post some up in the gallery. I'd love to see some output from it.

Re: Thought BubblesJohn,
I see you have PrElv2, CS3 as tools as well. What is your typical work flow when creating a slideshow using P2E? Do you use both PrElv2 and P2E? One of the things that I like about PSP is its ability to process DNG and PSD files. I see that P2E has fewer input file options. Do you monitor the Proshow forum here to get ideas or are you still thinking about Proshow? Thanks Mike
Re: Thought BubblesI use Pro Show Producer and love it. Glad to see there is a Forum here for this.
Open a photo program and select a thought bubble shape. Give it a transparent backtround and save as a png. Then add it as a new layer in PSP. Then add a text layer. Or Add the text in the photo program first. Then you just add the text bubble layer. Photoshop Elements and Microsoft Picture-it - pretty much any photo program would probably have a thought bubble. I've got a bunch of them, collected them over time. ADDED - I could do a quick tutorial - which part is not understood. You already have the thought bubble made and how to add it??
Re: Thought BubblesAlley,
Any tutorial you would like to do on PSP would be more than welcome. If you could do one on creating and adding Thought Bubbles and Text that would be great. You can post them in the Gallery so everyone can see 1. Thinkpad W530 Laptop, Core i7-3820QM Processor 8M Cache 3.70 GHz, 16 GB DDR3, NVIDIA Quadro K1000M 2GB Memory.

Re: Thought BubblesWhat is the best format for uploading - .wmv?? and not over 50 MB, right?
Re: Thought BubblesAlley,
I made a psd of a bubble using Elements. I then opened an image in PSP, added a layer using Add Image, and brought in my bubble. I had not put my text in the bubble in Elements. You say add a text layer; not quite sure what you mean by that. I can create a caption in PSP and drag/drop it on the bubble, but would prefer something contained in the bubble. I guess that means I should edit the text in Elements. Somehow I keep going back to Elements. Thanks Mike
Re: Thought BubblesMike,
My workflow for slideshows is basically using Photoshop CS3 to tidy up still images, saving as JPGs then importing the edited images into P2E. For video editing I still use PrElv2. The thing is I know my way around PrElv2 so I find that 90%+ of what I want to do is easily do-able. But I really need to move over to using PPro CS3 more than I do at present and I am still trying to find the time to begin learning AE CS3. Re: Thought Bubbles
Yes, that would be fine, FLV will work also but WMV is good. The limit is 50mb per file in the gallery. 1. Thinkpad W530 Laptop, Core i7-3820QM Processor 8M Cache 3.70 GHz, 16 GB DDR3, NVIDIA Quadro K1000M 2GB Memory.
