not able to burn finished video protect in premiere 12

Postby a1director » Mon Sep 25, 2017 4:18 pm

Just finished and rendered my video. Needed to burn a DVD. Burn starts fine, but when I get to 98% I get an error message, unknown error 2130476 and my dvd id ejected. Tried four time to burn , but same thing happens. I tried another way. Saved my file to my desktop. Used my Popcorn app to burn my dvd. Burn starts but stops while writing dvd. Any ideas on what's happening? really need your help.

First thought is that there is a tiny gap in the timeline.

Try zooming in and then check for a small space (maybe only one frame) that remains between two adjacent clips.

It sounds like you're saying you've been successful in writing your DVD files to your desktop or hard drive. If that is the case, then Premiere Elements is doing its job. It's not a software issue.

But it also sounds like you're saying that both Premiere Elements and another program (Popcorn) are failing to write the DVD files to a disc. That's a separate matter -- and the fact that two different programs is failing indicates an issue with your operating system.

What is your operating system? What processor does your computer have with how much RAM? And -- very important -- how much free, clean, freshly defragmented space is on your C drive?

Finally, what brand of computer do you have? You may want to go to your computer's web site (HP, Dell, Compaq, etc.) and download the drivers for your particularly model of computer. Especially the disc drive's drivers. Your disc drive and/or your interface with it is clearly where the problem lies.

Seems that Steve and I have made different assumptions about the type of file that you have successfully saved to the desktop. Can you provide a little more info to clear up the confusion?

Have you ever been able to burn a DVD prior to this one? If not can you try burning a small project, just a few minutes, with no transitions, effects, titles or anything else and let us know what happens?

The type and brand of DVD can also cause issues, what type and brand DVD are you using?

Does your burner have updated firmware?

And as Steve has asked, what type of file are you putting on the desktop and how are you creating it?

I know this is a lot of questions but there are so many things that can cause issues with DVD burning we need to be able to eliminate some of them. If you need any help finding the answers just let us know and we will do whatever we can to assist you Joel.

Did just that. There was a tiny piece of junk at the last fade out. Took it out and had no problem burning. Thanks for the tip.
