CD/DVD Label Software - A Warning and a Question.

Postby John Walker » Mon Sep 04, 2017 6:19 pm

Until today I have successfully used Acoustica CD Label Printing Software. It now refuses to open and reading forums it appears to be a problem with Win 10 that has not been resolved. I tried to download the current version from the Acoustica site and BitDefender stopped it stating there was Ransomware detected in the download.

So, I am now without software to face print my DVDs.

Your suggestions for a straightforward program that you currently use would be most appreciated.

Did you download from here:
http://www.acoustica.com/cd-label-maker/

I downloaded it from there and it downloaded clean.

What printer are you using?
I was using an HP D5160, but it just died on me.

Thanks for your replies.

I just tried to download and fire up the Installation File from that link and the same happened. As it gets to the final stage of installation, Bitdefender detects Ransomware. I clicked on finish and pop up started to flash up stating various programs had crashed etc.

It's disappointing as the program is 100% perfect for my needs. :(

It could be a false positive.
Have a look here:

I would post a thread asking about that here:

Thanks all,

I was downloading direct from Acoustica's website. Tried once more last night and it was aborted again as containing Ransomware.

I found an older version of Canon's CD/DVD printing software that works very similar to Acoustica - Canon Easy Photo. Problem solved as it works a treat.

I just tried Acoustica CD/DVD Label Software - Version 3.33, and it still runs on Windows 10. I've had it installed since 2015. I don't have Bitdefender. I once had Bitdefender.
