I could never edit this photo of a poppy so it looked the way I wanted. It was taken in macro mode and hand held. Recently, I used Photoshop's Shake Reduction filter and Topaz' ReStyle plug-in on the photo. I think the edited version is finally looking better than the original. Can you tell the original from the edited version?
I found Topaz Restyle addicting. You can definitely get some good ideas from the 1000 presets. The plug-in can be used in Photoshop also on video that's been made a Smart Object. When exporting to video, it takes one to three seconds to process each frame on my machine. I take a long nap during processing.
This animated GIF is a 25% reduction of the before and after images. There are only 256 colors.
