Re: Spring bikingWow that looks like a nice bike path, and a lot of fun. Super little video Steve. How long is the path? We have one locally that's been put together in sections over a number of years. It's getting pretty impressive in the distance it covers.

Re: Spring bikingThe city is slowly replacing all of its unused railroad tracks with bike trails.
This trail is built on the old interurban rail line, which connected several cities in southeast Wisconsin. You can follow it close to 50 miles north, and there are connecting trails and designated routes that can take you pretty much across the southern half of the state! Re: Spring bikingThat wasn't a "Stop" sign at about 1:10, was it?
Re: Spring bikingI wouldn't mind biking that trail except I'd have thousands of mosquito bites when I finished.
Re: Spring bikingGreat video! Did you film this with a GoPro? Was the camera mounted on your handlebars, or a stick, or something else?
Yeah, I saw him blow through that "STOP" sign too! It's interesting that you wore a bike helmet but your wife didn't. Same thing happens at my house, I'll wear a helmet but my wife won't. Desktop: HPE-580T, i7-950 (3.07GHz), 16GB RAM, Win'7 64-bit Home Premium, PSE12/PRE12, Lightroom 5.

Re: Spring bikingI shot this video with a sport cam called the Monopiece HD. Available for about $80.
It comes with a handlebar mount, but it can pretty much be mounted any place you can mount a Go Pro. HP Envy with 2.9/4.4 ghz i7-10700 and 16 gig of RAM running Windows 11 Pro
Re: Spring bikingNice job Steve. I was expecting you to ride past one of your famous pizzeria haunts.

Re: Spring bikingThat's my cam, all right! It's no Go Pro -- but still a great value.

Re: Spring bikingGood quality video for $80? Yep, that's a great value alright!

Re: Spring bikingTo be honest Steve I think if you are shooting 1080p at 30fps the biggest difference between the various sport cameras is the field of view. At that 1080p 30fps setting I think all the different brands are pretty much the same. The big differences are in color between the cameras and those settings can be adjusted in the NLE. The Mobius HD I have is so close to GoPro but at a fraction of the cost. The biggest difference is the color which I can adjust. I am not badmouthing GoPro (I LOVE mine) but depending on the need and the cost factor I think the other sport cameras are pretty good too.
Now if you are shooting in the 2.7k or using Protune then the GoPro black has no competition IMHO. I will go out on a limb and say that I think the Flip still had a better algorithm for color. The GoPro seems to have a yellow cast in some lighting conditions. I am surprised that you were able to get the video out from behind the cheddar curtain. Sidd "Life moves pretty fast.
