Hi, please excuse my total ignorance here. I doubt if I'm even in the correct forum. I've just opened Movie Studio Platinum for almost the first time and am stumped right at the start. I'm creating a new project, and have to choose between 1280 x 720 24p or 25p. It seems that my camera output is 30p, and I cannot find any indications of which would be the best choice, or how much of an issue it would be to make the wrong choice.
Please could someone advise me?
Thanks!

Welcome to Muvipix, adger! Why not start by working through our free 8 part Basic Training tutorial series for Movie Studio? You haven't said which version of the program you're using, but we have a set for each of the last couple of versions. You'll find version 13's Basic Training tutorials on the left side of this page. http://muvipix.com/sms13.phpWe also have several other tutorials for Movie Studio on this site as well as our easy, step by step Guide to Sony Movie Studio. Basically, in your case, it sounds like you've got the region set incorrectly. On the New Project panel, ensure that the Region, at the top of the panel, is set to Americas and Japan/NTSC and you should see the options available for 1280x720 30p.

Thanks so much, will certainly work through the tutorials. At the moment I'm working through Steve's book, which is how I found this forum.
Interestingly enough, I'm in UK so recording in Pal, so your response puzzled me! So I dug deeper on the Samsung website, and found that the PAL version of the camera records at 25p. So thanks very much - your response got me there, even if a little unconventionally!
