Thanks for suggesting MediaInfo. Pasted below is the information. It appears that the audio is NOT 5.1, but rather 2-channel stereo. However in this situation I'm suspecting that there's a problem with this particular clip that occurred during capture. This clip may be corrupt somehow. I may have to re-capture it from my DVR or convert it to another format perhaps. Because it seems that no matter what type of project I set up in PE9 (I've tried a few different ones), the audio disappears from this .m2ts file once I import it to a project.
