How to find out which codec I am using.....

Postby coolstuffiniowa » Mon Nov 19, 2012 3:24 pm

so...
my buddy was able to send over a file to me that was recorded and transferred on a MAC.
I could hear it on PE 10 but could not see it.
He says I need to find out what codec I am using and he can save it in that format and then I can edit it.
So....
I ask you if there is a way to find out the parameters of what I am using?

Download the free MediaInfo and drag your file into it. It will give you the info.

Watch out for toolbars during the installation (unless you want them).

Can he save it as a DV-AVI? That should work OK.
