CTI does not move at all on the time line while in play mode -but catches up if I stop play - same for all time line scrol options. I am in Fl so it is not that cold ... Thanks, K

Is there a red line above the clips on your timeline? If so, what happens if you press Enter to render the timeline so that the timeline turns green?

If that doesn't fix it, what model of camcorder is your video coming from, and what are your computer specs: How fast is your process and what operating system do you have?

Steve,
Time line has both avchd video and 1920x 1080 stills on it - only the stills have red lines above them (as you would expect). There are some transitions and a couple of zoom/pans on stills, (I will try rendering to see it that helps). Video is from a Sony HDRCX-150HD. PC is a Gateway desk top with Intel i7 cpu at 2,67Ghz, 9GB Ram, Win 7 Home Premium, running PE 10- 64bit version. This is my first try with PE10. K

So what happens when you render the timeline?

I wonder if you have the timeline scrolling set to "none".
