Premiere Essentials 10 versus the Vegas Equivalent

Postby braindeadsoftwareguy » Mon Dec 05, 2011 10:10 pm

:-({|= I have grumbled about my lack of ability to follow software procedures with Essentials 10 being my purchase choice by chance. I am having difficulty getting an opinion on whether Vegas of the same level of price would be any easier for my lack of intuitive skills. Keeping in mind, my main objective was to have multiple video tracks and to shuffle them into a sort of music video with me on several instruments.
I was not interested really in cute family movies, or high quality movie making and a lot of the options on these programs. Video-making is not my focus per se, but I just wanted a tool for a casual project such as what I mentioned. Movie maker would have sufficed, if it had the multi-track ability. My real hobby is building guitars and/or playing.

I feel that Adobe Premiere Elements 10 is more intuitive and easier to use than Sony Vegas Movie Studio 11. There are features in VMS that you might appreciate later on that aren't in PRE.

Did the file have a .zip file extension?

I'm just a forum member like you. Apparently only ZIP files will be accepted.

I agree with Robert, being a use of both softwares I would agree That Premiere Elements is more intuitive and easier to use than Sony Vegas.

I've added the *.rar file extension. Try your upload again.

I downloaded a Zip program and uploaded the .zip file successfully. It said it has to wait for approval. When that happens, how do I find the link for putting here in the forum?

In retrospect, you could have just attached the file to your post :)

BTW, braindead, you say your hobby is building and playing guitars.

Have you met our Muvipix Premiere Member Ed? He's a talented musician (and beermaker) who sometimes builds instruments out of some very interesting materials. Here he is playing a ukelele he built out of a cigar box!

Thanks, it good to see others making guitars. Here's one I made out of a butcher's block for fun. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1qjuFzwnJGg
This was no fancy editor, It was a Photo Story 3 project, that went jerky when uploaded to YouTube.
Has anyone analysed my computer configuration to see if it's too under-powered?
