That's a fabulous holiday price for the bundle, including for the boxed version.

Also, items purchased from Adobe may be returned for credit despite having been opened and tried out (and no need to actually return anything, just notify the firm to cancel the license).

I was going to post about the half-off offer, but see that Ron as already done so. I just got the half off deal on the full versions of PSE10 & PRE10 ($75.00 out the door). It's cheaper to get the FULL version than the UPGRADE version.

Here's a heads-up for anyone who ordered the bundle. Adobe has charged me tax on the whole $149.99 instead of the $75.00. I initiated a chat this evening with customer service and that's the way he explained the amount of tax charged. When I told him that they can't charge tax on an amount that I didn't pay, he immediately said that he was escalating the issue to his "senior level" and that they would get back to me via email. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt and assume that they will get this straightened out. In the meantime, check your own order details.

Addendum: I just ran the calculation and the tax amount that they charged was even higher than what it would have been if they had taxed the $149.99. The numbers don't add up.

The plot thickens..............I try and buy all of my stuff from Amazon whenever I can. It's always tax free and free shipping.

Did you order the box or download version? Something doesn't seem right. I'm in Canada and only got charged 5% GST ($3.75)tax on the $75, which is correct. I went with download version to avoid $20 plus tax in shipping for the box.

I ordered the boxed version. I like to have the discs in hand and I'm willing to pay the shipping to get it that way. Our state and local tax combined is 6.5%, which should have come to $4.88.

This just gets weirder and weirder. I just went back in to look at the order again. Here's a screen capture:

Figure this out....Note that the quantity is 1 @ $149.99. Now note the subtotal - $224.98!!! It looks like someone has really got this messed up.

My subtotal is correct. The tax is a bit odd. We are 7% and it looks like they calculated 7.25% of about $75.

An update to my post above...
After a couple of days with no response from Adobe I contacted them again. I was told that the report was in the system and that I should expect "no more than 2 to 3 days" for a response. Today it's been 5 days with absolutely nothing from them. I did get an e-mail today telling me that my order had shipped. The amount charged was less, so I ran the numbers. They charged 7% tax when my state + local tax is 6.5%. It doesn't amount to much, but just for the sake of argument let's say that they're overcharging on each order. Bobby's .5%, my .25%...it adds up when multiplied by a large number of orders. On purpose, or just sloppy programming? Who knows. I'm not done yet. Now it's the principle of the thing.

FWIW, I took advantage of this deal (thanks Ron!) and ordered the download version with absolutely no issues. Hopefully just isolated problems with the tax situation.
