Why does the PE10 "Share for YouTube" NOT have 720p presets?

Specific to Premiere Elements Version 10.

Why does the PE10 "Share for YouTube" NOT have 720p presets?

This seems like a glaring error - but could easily be pilot error on my part - is there a way to create a "NEW or custome preset" in PE10?

I am quite familiar with Power Director 9 but "testing" PE10 because of the much better "title animations".

Are you talking about a project preset or effect preset?

Well, it appears that the "default project" is based on a DV format. We want to bring in 720p videos and output to YouTube at 720p.

The original post was that there was no "YouTube Share Preset" for 720p?

Thanks,

Scott

There are other 720p presets but it is based on what your desired format is.
Just select any 720p preset that uses the H.264 codec for export and then you can upload that to YouTube.
Adobe would be the people to ask as to why they did not include that as a Share option. You can still upload 720p footage to YouTube, just not the same way you can with standard footage.

And, of course, if rather than using the direct-to-YouTube tool, you create a video file and then manually load it to YouTube, you have all sorts of options!

Just use Share/Computer/AVCHD and select the YouTube HD option. You can then click the Advanced button, modify the settings and create a custom preset.

Though most people have found these settings produce the best hi-def videos for YouTube:

From the Share tab, choose Computer and then QuickTime/MOV. Choose the DV preset and then click the Advanced button.

From the settings window, do the following:
Video Tab
*Video Codec: H.264
*Quality: 100
*Frame Wdith: 1280
*Frame Height: 720
*Frame Rate: 29.97
*Field Type: Progressive
*Pixel Aspect Ratio: square
*Set Bitrate: checked
*Bitrate: 8000 kbps

Audio Tab
*Audio Code: AAC
*Output Channels: Stereo
*Frequency: 44kHz

Excellent ... Those settings are preceisely what I was looking for ... THANK YOU!

The lack of Share > YouTube 720p presets ... also I found the same in PE9 ... must indicate that not many people are using PE for YouTube, otherwise Adobe probably would have responded?

All of the said, I am absolutely blown away by how much "depth" PE10 has for a consumer oriented product!
