Avid Studio - Text effects

Postby sooria365 » Mon Jul 18, 2011 12:45 am

Hi,

In Avid Studio or Sony Vegas MS how to color the underline different from the text color. Example: the text being white & underline in red.

Thanks,

Just a stab in the dark as I don't use those tools. Text on one video track, associated underline on a different track. That's how I'd do it in PPro.
AMD Ryzen 3900x 12C/24T, ASUS x570 mobo, Arctic Liquid Freezer ll 280, Win11 64 bit, 64GB RAM, Radeon RX 570 graphics, Samsung 500GB NVMe 980 PRO (C:), Samsung 970 Evo SSD (D:), Dell U2717D Monitor, Synology DS412+ 8TB NAS, Adobe CS6.

You would have to do the same in Avid Studio or Sony Vegas MS as John outlined. You would need two text layers in Avid Studio or two video tracks in Sony Vegas MS.

If you just want to create a text with a solid background in Avid Studio:

Click on T on the Timeline, this will open the Text Editor:

Click on Background Settings, double click the Background Drop Zone, choose your color:

Click on Face to change your Text Color:

Click OK to close the Text Editor:

Thanks gpecht. I wanted to know how to color the underline different from the text. I will try the tip advised by John & Johnston, however, I would appreciate if you have any more tips on this subject.

Thanks in advance,
