Join Severial DVD's

Postby Richardmotsch » Sat May 21, 2016 2:56 pm

I have tried several different ways to join 5 short DVD's that are all in the same format .vf, I am using Sony Platinum 13 Studio. And the program won't let me join them. I want to cut the 5 DVD's down to a small time length so I cam put them on youtube.

Edit and render sections from one project ( .vf file, not a DVD) at a time and bring all the rendered files into another project and render that project again. Use an Internet template to render for YouTube.

I'm not quite clear what you mean when you say the five DVDs are in the .vf format.

.vf files are not DVDs or even video files at all. They are Movie Studio project files.

I'd recommend you output each Movie Studio project as a 640x480 MP4 (or 854x480, if they're widescreen).

It's not clear from your post -- but are you trying to join them all into one large movie or are you trying to cut each DVD into short segments so that they'll be small enough to load to YouTube?

As Steve says, the OP may need to clarify. My suggestion was based on the assumption that he was after something like nesting, which is of course a Vegas Pro feature and not available as such in Studio versions ("the program won't let me join them").
Also, it seems the term DVD may have been used rather loosely.
