You can post it to YouTube. You can use it as source video in another project. You can show it on an UltraHD TV, if you've got a device that can play it. You can even play it on your new iPhone -- not that it makes much sense to watch 4K video on a screen not much larger than a deck of cards.

UltraHD or 4K is still kind of in its infancy. Sort of where HD was 10 years ago. People are excited about it but still aren't sure what to do with it. If and when UltraHDTVs become more affordable, it could become the cool new way to watch movies at home.

What device(s) are currently available to view my 4k movie on my UHDTV?

Convert for upload to Vimeo. You will then be able to view on several devices.

Also, if your UHDTV is a "smart TV" you may be able to play video off a thumb drive plugged into the TV's USB.

But you are definitely right. This is one of the rare cases where the software is running way ahead of the hardware to use it on!
