Re-installing Movie Studio 13.0I got a virus which I was fortunate enough to contend with by restoring my system to a previous restore point. But it got me to thinking.... If I had a bigger problem and had to use a backup image of my C drive or did a fresh install of my OS and then re-installed Movie Studio, would the freshly installed program recognize my .vf and .sfl files (and any other files produced by Movie Maker)? I have my program files on my C drive and all my content on my E drive.
Computer: 3.2 GHz i5 CPU; 8GB RAM; ASUS GTX660 graphics card; Win 7 Pro 64-bit; 120GB SSD boot drive plus 1.5TB internal HDD
Software: Sony Movie Studio Platinum suite 13.0; Photoshop CS5
Re: Re-installing Movie Studio 13.0A new install of Movie Studio would definitely recognize and open your old project files, jonny.
Though I can't guarantee Movie Studio would also open projects created by MovieMaker (or is that a typo in your question?). HP Envy with 2.9/4.4 ghz i7-10700 and 16 gig of RAM running Windows 11 Pro
Re: Re-installing Movie Studio 13.0Typo, I meant Movie Studio both times. Gracias

Re: Re-installing Movie Studio 13.0But those files have to be in the exact same folder they were in previously or Movie Studio won't find them.
