Re-installing Movie Studio 13.0

Postby jonnyD » Mon Apr 13, 2015 1:51 pm

I got a virus which I was fortunate enough to contend with by restoring my system to a previous restore point. But it got me to thinking.... If I had a bigger problem and had to use a backup image of my C drive or did a fresh install of my OS and then re-installed Movie Studio, would the freshly installed program recognize my .vf and .sfl files (and any other files produced by Movie Maker)? I have my program files on my C drive and all my content on my E drive.

A new install of Movie Studio would definitely recognize and open your old project files, jonny.

Though I can't guarantee Movie Studio would also open projects created by MovieMaker (or is that a typo in your question?).

But those files have to be in the exact same folder they were in previously or Movie Studio won't find them.
