If I have a clip on the timeline is there a way to remove audio without removing the entire clip (audio & video) and re-adding it to timeline without audio
(right-click and dragging clip to timeline and choosing video only).

Re: How to remove audio for one event only on timelineWould you like it deleted?
Re: How to remove audio for one event only on timelineAdd the clip (full or trimmed) with both audio and video to your timeline. Then, click on the clip in the timeline and hit the "U" key to ungroup the audio from the video. Then you can click on the audio portion of the clip and hit delete, leaving the video in the timeline.
EDIT: This does not delete the actual audio data from the file, just from the timeline so you can replace it with whatever audio you want. To regroup the audio back to the video (or to group another audio clip to the video), Ctrl +Click on both the video and audio portions to highlight them and hit the "G" key to group them together. You can also group/ungroup several clips together this way. Dell Studio XPS 8100, Intel Core i7 2.8GHz, 4GB RAM, 64-Bit Win7. Camera gear: 2x Canon 550D's, 1x Canon EOS 6D body, Sigma 70-200mm f2.8 & 17-50mm f2.8, Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 & 24-70mm f/2.8L, and two 420EX flashes.
Re: How to remove audio for one event only on timelineAnother way to do it is to throw the clip into the trimmer, and once it's there you can click on the audio waveform and hit Ctrl+A to select the whole track (or you can trim it by picking in/out points), and then hit the TAB key a time or two. You'll see a video or audio symbol in the waveform to denote what it is that's selected and will be added to the timeline. This will add ONLY audio or video to the timeline when dragged to it.

Re: How to remove audio for one event only on timelineYou can also mute the track:
http://www.jakeludington.com/sony_vegas ... vegas.html If you need just a segment of the audio track you can use the "split" option (Ctrl+click *only on the audio track* where you want to cut, in the start and end point) then remove from split to left and from split to right.
Re: How to remove audio for one event only on timelineYou can also mute only the event(s) you want on the timeline.
Right-click on the event > Switches > Mute. (Vegas/MSP)
