Pic size in MS13

Postby BuddyB » Thu Aug 07, 2014 11:05 pm

In the book for MS 13 it tells me how large is acceptable, plus the largest recommended. If I'm doing 1920X1080 or 1280X720 does that actually mean the pic is centered and has a bleed area, or is it squashed to fit the chosen format. I get the feeling there's a bleed area so you can pan. Thoughts appreciated.

You should be fine with a 2000x1500 picture, Buddy, but you can go a little larger if you need to.

The challenge, of course, is that most photos are 4:3 while high-def video is 16:9. Which means you either have to zoom enough enough to fill your video frame, losing some of the top and/or bottom of your photo, or you show the whole photo and not fill your video frame. I'm not sure any way around that.

Thanks Steve, your information and playing around a bit should get the results I need. Haven't played with my Canon Sure Shot enough yet; does 1280X720 for movie shooting. I'll sure have to shoot some stills that I can use to see whas' up.
