Combat Pack from TubeTape .MOV file question

Postby Jeffrey W. Arnold » Sun Apr 06, 2014 3:01 am

Hello again everyone, once again I have a question that I am confident someone here can answer. I recently purchased a Stock Special effects pack Titled, "Combat Pack" from TubeTape. When I plugged the DVD into my computer the files where zipped, I unzipped them and noticed they are in the .MOV format. I also noticed that they won't play on my PC. Even when I opened up my Vegas Movie Studio Platinum 12, I just got an error. The error indicated that I need to install Quicktime 7.7.6 or something like that. The link was provided, so I clicked on it and down loaded it. Still the .MOV file doesn't play. Any suggestions on how to get this working? Thanks
Thanks Jeff,

MOVs are like AVIs. Inside of the format can be any of thousands of codecs.

Open one of these MOVs in the program like Media Info and see what they list for resolution, frame rate and audio and video codecs.

In most cases, loading the latest Quicktime will install the necessary components so that you can edit MOV video. But these may require some special handling.
