Boy Howdy..do I love Movie Studio 13

Postby BuddyB » Wed Mar 12, 2014 11:11 am

I'm trying to learn this baby! One thing I've noticed is that it is super simple to burn a simple DVD without going into Architect Studio, and I like that much. One thing that is a bit perplexing is that all of a sudden, out of the clear blue sky my Text line has split itself into 2 parts AXB. I'm sure I did something, but at the moment I don't know what, and I haven't discovered what that feature is for. Thoughts appreciated.

You seem to have "expanded track layers". Right-click the video(/"text") track header and see Expand Track Layers. Sequential events alternate between the A and B rolls, and the overlapping area between events is represented by the transition roll. It's not 2 separate tracks, but it might make transitions easier to manage. Deselect to collapse.
The "Text" and "Video" tracks are similar, only the names are different to help/confuse us. You can rename them to whatever you like.
