Uninstall trial version?

Postby Susanna » Tue Apr 02, 2013 11:52 am

Ok, possible stupid question - I've been using the trial version of Movie Studio Platinum 12, (along with your book, Steve - and learning A LOT! :TU: ), now the trial is over, and my shiny new purchase is here; do I need to uninstall the trial version first?
I know it says to just enter the licence code to activate, but the trial version doesn't have all the features (ie, New Blue & Red Giant stuff), so I'm wondering... :conf:

I think the NewBlue effects and Red Giant features are only part of the Platinum Suite, Susanna. I don't they come with just the regular Platinum version of the program. At least according to this chart.

I'd recommend you uninstall the trial only so you can install the latest build. It should include the Platinum effects set.

But if you've bought the whole Platinum Suite, you should get it from here:

And I'm glad to hear you're enjoying the book! It's a fun program, and I'm happy to hear we're helping you get up and running with it!

Yes, I have the full bells & whistles version, Steve!
I wouldn't expect the trial version to include 3rd party extras.
Just need to wait for my next day off to play... :exc:

Happy moviemaking, Susanna! I love the Platinum Suite. It's loaded with bonus stuff (including dozens of free music tracks and Sony's audio editing program).
