MAGIX has just replaced their VEGAS Movie Studio product line with a new product called Movie Studio 18 (three versions).

It's been developed by a different team in Germany and does not have much to do with the U.S. Madison version (VEGAS Movie Studio),

Thanks for posting this, VK. Like you, I was sorry to hear that Magix has discontinued Vegas Movie Studio. Version 17 is the current and final version of the product.

But I was also a little surprised to see Magix selling a product called Movie Studio 18, an intentionally misleading product name that implies it is the next version but is actually just a rebranding of another Magix product. That's a bit deceptive.

For Vegas fans, Vegas Pro continues to remain an active product. It is currently at version 18 and sells for $449. However, if you are a currently registered Vegas or Vegas Movie Studio owner, Magix frequently offers sales and discounts.

We currently have no plans to release Muvipix Guides for Vegas Pro. Our focus has always been on consumer rather than professional product lines. But we'll definitely let you know if decide to support another consumer product.

They have really confused the public. Just try to answer consumer video questions on all of those different releases.
