A DVDAS Save Quirk

Postby Bobby » Thu Apr 23, 2009 2:40 pm

I think this qualifies as a bug, so beware.

I was editing some text in a menu and while still in edit mode, I clicked the X to close the program - assuming that I would be prompted to save. No prompt. When I opened DVDSA again and checked the text, it had in fact not been changed.

In order to make DVDSA understand that you have changed the text, you need to exit edit mode on the text (clicking somewhere else in the menu page, etc.) or it will not recognize the change.

Although I'm not, in general, a fan of modal programming (where you have to complete the operation you are performing before you can do anything else), this is one case where it should have been modal.

I'm also not fond of having to click on the edit text button instead of just being able to directly select the text with the mouse and edit. But, that's the way it is.
