DVD Architect: Question 1

A new addition to Muvipix, with support and discussion of Sony's DVD Architect Studio.

DVD Architect: Question 1

Postby Bobby » Fri Mar 06, 2009 5:50 pm

As a new DVD Architect user, I am just getting my feet wet and trying a test project.

First question: How do I get a Play All button on the main screen? I looked up Play All in the Help, but it just took me to a section on how to set up a scene menu. There was something about a Scene Only DVD, but that didn't seem to apply.

It probably hasn't changed much in the current version.

Yes, that worked fine - thanks Chuck.

Very typical thinking in a program where they give you enormous flexibility - they provide the facilities but you have to know how to knit them together. Once I created the playlist I was able to create my own button and link to it - very cool.

Just like Encore DVD, and at a small fraction of the price ;)

With Sony offering the 35% discount, I've been thinking about buying this program. I'm interested in known if DVD Architech lets you have different audio tracks for the video, ie English, French, Commetary, etc?

I have DVD Architect Pro and that allows multiple sound tracks.... however I believe the Studio version does not.

That's right. Just one audio track with the Studio version. And the Pro version is only available bundled with Vegas.

The book is in its final stages of illustration, Peru. It should be available within a month.

It's nice to know there is interest! DVD Architect Studio is one of the best-kept secrets on the web (and from the reviews on Amazon, even people who bought it aren't sure what to do with it). So there are times when I wonder if there even is a market for the book. I'm glad to know there is at least some interest!

Steve,

I have Sony DVD Architect Studio 4.0. I personally have found this tool to be very UNintuitive, but it cold just be me. Would the book you are writing be applicable to V4? Is your book going to help make this product seem more intuitive? I'm looking forward to see what you produce!

There aren't a lot of changes between versions 4 and 4.5, Bob. I'm sure the book will help you find your way around with any version.

I really do like DVD Architect Studio. I've never encountered any problems using it.

Nice to hear that you have a book coming out Steve.
